S BParticipant
Matt,
Stepping into your shoes for a moment is easy for me, We have lived similar lives. All I can surmise right now, is that like me, you may carry an accursed karma from a past life (the saying: “karma to burn” applies). While you are truly a peaceful soul, you attract difficult situations into your life. I know what this is like. The friends you have who may be treating you like a doormat, while seemingly superficial, will still be important. If you can open up to them, it may be more beneficial in the long run than a shrink (never liked them either). When you feel as though you need to put your foot down, just remember that its a test, and raising your kamma is easier by being accepting of others rather than trying to assert yourself in a destructive way.
My two suggestions for you, one, do some volunteer or charity work, become a big brother, do selfless acts with no expectation of reward (legal ones ;)) it will not change anything overnight, weekly, or even in a month, but once you establish a pattern of living selflessly, you become more in tune with your higher self. secondly, to deal with the nightmares & hallucinations, look up how to perform “yoni mudra” and do this while lying down in bed for about 5-10 minutes each night. You will likely still dream and have visions, but it is all part of a process of spiritual cleansing and growth. Aside from that, there is a certain 3 letter substance which inhibits dreaming…..but I would recommend trying the mudra first.
good luck, you are loved.
S BParticipantLeia,
I am sorry for your loss. Whether you believe in reincarnation or predestination, always be aware that your mother will be with you throughout your life. If you are sentimental like me, visit her grave or visit with family in order to pay your respects and release whatever is caught inside of you. As others have said, keep in mind that this suffering is only temporary so that you can use the tough lessons from life to grow and become the best person you can be.
I’m sure once you’re released and in tune with your emotions, people will come to you. If you feel like even meditation or simple changes aren’t lifting your mood, look into wearing a gemstone called “Moss Agate”. It is very powerful and will help to keep your emotions aligned in a way that you can think more clearly.
good luck, you are loved.
S BParticipantdoremi,
The workplace can take its toll on your nerves and your heart. Keep in mind that no matter what you personally believe, I know synchronicity is in your life. You were invited for a reason. This by itself shows that you will always have a place, and while it may feel uncomfortable at first, eventually you will meet the people you need to in life. Remember as well that others show their pettiness in many ways, and you will soar far above your colleagues if you keep your goals in focus and treat those who like you or dislike you with kindness.
good luck doremi, you are loved.
S BParticipantEmma,
I know your pain, when times were tough in my life, I too resorted to self-destructive behaviours like binge eating, drugs, etc.,
In my humble opinion, you must learn to love yourself first. Self-love is not looking in the mirror and comparing yourself to whatever archetype or ideal you have in mind. Self-love means you will do the things you enjoy, with the important people in your life by your side, and not be self-critical or worry too much about what others think. Make sure that your mental, emotional, and physical states are taken care of first, and then you will naturally take care of yourself. Remind yourself of those that love you for who you are, and add yourself to that list. Once you realize your true self, your body will respond in kind.Always keep in mind that being uncomfortable with your body is normal, but being self-critical or worrying is in itself, suffering. Clear your mind and your space and think more about the person you are and not the person you want to be.
Good luck, you are loved.
