    HI there Soul-searcher!

    I am so excited to hear your experience with Reiki. It is something that I’ve been in love with for a few years now. I recently obtained my Reiki Master Teacher certification and use it everyday.

    Reiki is not the only form of Energy Healing that exist out there but it is the form that I, personally have embraced and felt the most connected to. I feel like the practice comes easy for me and the healing that it allows is just beautiful. As a learner, I was taught that it isn’t the Reiki Practitionner that “heals” but we allow the space to channel the healing energy into the body… we serve as a conduit. It doesn’t matter where the practitionner stand as the energy is intelligent and will go where it is needed.

    Your experience is similar to others that I’ve heard, although the experience can be quite different from one person to the other. If you feel guided to, I invite you to research the meanings of color and see what resonate with you. For me, white is the color of the reiki energy, blue is the color of inner peace and communication, red is the color of safety and confidence and green is the color of healing but I invite you to do your own research. This is the information that your body is providing you to understand what is happening inside of you – I call it “innerstand” 🙂

    The wave that you are feeling is the energy moving through your body, it usually goes where it is the most needed and when you feel certain emotions, don’t judge or try to understand them, just live them… it is the energy way of releasing your deep blockage. It is a healthy way to express your inner state.

    What Reiki does, with your consent, belief and permission is allowing your body to heal itself. Peter is right, is some ways it isn’t Reiki that is providing you that feeling… that said you can attain that feeling without Reiki. But it has given you the opportunity to open yourself up to the energy that is available to you and for you to heal your own body. Reiki only served as a little push 🙂 But it is in  you and you can heal yourself without Reiki. Although I have to admit that I reach out to my Reiki Master often when I feel out of balance, I love the feeling of Reiki and also the balance that it brings back to my body.

    I often look at life challenges, especially relationships, as something that is like a mirror of our internal state. Let me give you an example. I recently felt like my fiance was not giving enough attention, I felt like he was not responding to my msg (I was away on a trip) and that when I finally got a hold of him he wasn’t compassionate and kind in his words. Knowing that my relationship with others is often a mirror of my internal state, I asked myself what that moment could teach me about my relationship with myself and realized  that I had been neglecting my self care and also not paying attention to my own needs. I was trying to please others and posting tons of stuff on social media, all that to seek external connection when all along I was craving internal connection.

    That said, what is your relationship with him tells you about your relationship with yourself? What is your body and mind trying to tell  you? You are worthy of a relationship but you have to believe in yourself. You have to believe that you deserve better, you have to believe that you can be happy.

    Most of us have a trauma story either from childhood or adolescence, but not all of us have dealt with forgiveness and many still don’t believe that they are “worthy” of love. That is something that you will need to explore, how are you expressing love toward yourself? What is your inner conversations toward yourself, your body, your accomplishments, your life…? That is where you will need to go to heal that side of you. This is one of my favorite go to meditation when I sense chaos in relationships….https://youtu.be/-d_AA9H4z9U
