    for most of the method,

    i thk be busy is important

    u hv to plan wat to do tmr

    in order to be busy

    write diaries / record ur mood whenrever u feel like doing it

    oso vr gd since no one is nearby us, so v can express it out

    without fail

    all in all, focus in GIVING ( what can i do to help people will
    make ur life flourish! )

    u can find a few types of volunteering if u wan! πŸ˜›

    use the some money frm part time job to donate/ buy things for them
    u will feel AMAZING! πŸ˜€

    CONNECTIONS WITH GOD is oso vr important

    even i dun hv any religion, but i still believe

    there is someone who will watching us frm divine

    juz talk to Him/ Her
    whenever u like in heart/ writing

    n b sensitive!

    bcos every thing happen is wat Him/Her wanted to talk to u~~ πŸ˜‰

    u will somehow get some inspiration frm praying/ talking to God

    sorry, i’m so nagging,
    recently i oso bother by this problems even more since i move to
    new house, and not staying wif frens

    so i will translate the methods frm book i read ytd
    really hope tat tz can help u n ppl who read tz πŸ™‚

    23. clean n organize the place u stay, u can even decorate it

    24. find the book/ magazine/ anything online abt staying alone

    25. talk to fren who r close to u via phone/social medias

    26. contact frens tat u long time didn’t connected wif

    27. organize ur closet – which one u dun nid ady can donate to those who nid

    28. watch drama/ famous/classic readings/ movies

    29.raise pet

    30. learn to cook some nice meals/bake for urself/ even u can share wif hse mate/ neighbour

    31. take public transport juz to enjoy view outside

    32. plan & travel

    33. go to beauty shop

    34. spend more time in choosing things tat u usually use (patterns, colors, types…)

    35. try new clothes/ shoes/ makeup

    36. organize ur finance

    37. give some surprise gifts to loved ones ( can use post office services)

    38. find out new place wif special items/ food/ clothes/ anything u like

    39. find special things/ charming about the place u r staying now

    40. go n visit the your relatives/ previous master/ teachers

    *41 don’t compare urself wif others too much – be appreciate what u hv
    (write things tat u r GRATEFUL -EVERY SINGLE DAY – u will find out this is so amazing!)

    42 find some people / a person tat u admire, then learn frm them (can frm books/ magazine/ tv show….)

    43 value ur the time u r alone

    44 prepare urself for ur ideal job (can find out wat is the ur ideal job requirement, try to accomplish them as u can )

    45 force urself to speak wif stranger

    46 read / watch some encouraging books/ drama/ tv shows

    47 set targets for urself

    48 if u r gd in writing, u can write and then posted in ur blog to help ppl

    or even u can send to newspaper or magazine, use tat money donate to ppl who nid it

    49 u can oso learn about new apps/ software

    ( eg: photoshop/ illutrator / adobe premire pro / ….)

    50 learn new language…..

    51 attend for a talk

    maybe thr r too much

    but i hope u can be plan and be more busy

    and be happy !

    my name is yen wern, 21 yrs old, i’m frm malaysia

    (plz apologize if my eng is not tat gd, n i like use shortcut in typing :p )

    i oso face the same problem with u for 3 years

    but thankfully i’m trying to improve myself with this few ways

    hope that u’ll find it helpful~~ πŸ™‚

    (my nerdy activities πŸ˜› )

    1. try to google some gd place nearby the local place u stay.
    but be aware of ur personal safety.

    2. hang out bookstore/ library

    3. coffee shop (read books & hv coffee for a lovely afternoon)

    4. attend / sign up any classes u like (painting/ yoga / gym/ dance/ …)

    5. find a part time job u like

    6. write diary (express anything u want – according to research,
    consistently write diary for 20 mins for 4 days/ week can cope with anxiety, depression)

    7. pick up some free online course (coursera, MIT open course, allison, edx , etc)

    8. regularly exercise (running/ cycling/ climbing/ hiking…)

    9. sometime i like to do calligraphy (i’m chinese, haha)

    10. go to new place, sit down quietly sketching the view, drink tea….

    11. play chess/ board games/ checkers/ any games online wif other players

    12.write blog/ write something inspire people
    (eg: send warm regards email to fren/ encourage who nid help in tiny buddha forum)

    13.read some books/ thriller/ novels/ new field tat u nvr heard b4

    14. learn new skills – knitting (& present for the loved one)/ singing/ online business….

    15. pray / speak to God/ go to church

    16. watch entertainment show/ funny pictures (as for me, i like to watch running man korean show/ big bang theory / go pinterest find some humor pictures – share to fren/family) πŸ˜€

    17.can try mingle wif ppl surround by Actively asking them questions
    (ask about them, be curious about people, sure they will have a lot of stories to tell u πŸ™‚

    18. give smile, juz ask , how r u doing, u look nice in this dress/ i like ur shirts / anything / what a nice writing!

    (at first, u dun feel normal to do it, but once u sincerely trying to
    FIND SOMETHING GOOD IN PEOPLE,
    u will feel easier to mingle wif them πŸ™‚

    19. give parents a call (use we chat/ viber/ line/ wataaps / skype….)
    from wat i knw, parents are the one who will not feel disturb if we call them everyday~~
    haha! i disturb my mummy and dadddy everyday when i’m bored!

    20. actively call ur frens/families – ask how r they doing – share some joke – make them happy

    (at first, i was sad about no one calling me after i transfer degree to a new university, but after that i found out, i’m the one who is too free to think about anything nonsense, so i try to GIVE my call/fb/ watapps them actively )

    in order to receive, u muz give first πŸ™‚

    21. consistently do some volunteer nearby ur place ( u can search online)
    (like for me, i like children, so i’ll choose to teach, buy something for them
    care for them )

    22. i oso saw some volunteer grp, they even doing some skype wif children, teach them to read whenever they r free, make some birthday cards/ any celebration cards to them

    ( u can choose any volunteer base on ur interests)

    people nowadays need more Love and Wisdom from Him!

    from my tiny view, i heard that < happiness come from the your MIND >
    maybe this is because we called it from within

    one thing is good or bad,
    you can DECIDE it πŸ™‚

    this person is good or bad,
    you can CHOOSE your attitude or your thinking about him/her πŸ™‚

    this environment is nice or poor, you can CHOOSE to look at the bright side or the dark side πŸ™‚

    happiness also depends on how much Love that you GIVE to others and yourself in a
    balance state πŸ™‚

    though it wasnt easy to be a teacher, especially when i have to teach them Mandarin by using English

    i got teased a lot by my students and some secondary will also give me a look that “why this teacher’s speaking sound funny?”

    and though i had spent a lot time on that student , he didnt care about it and another even end my tuition though i gave him extra free tuition, and i’m bad in manage class and always end up scolding my students and gave me unhapponess though

    i hurt a lot from what i cant archieve at first, felt depressed

    but i know I HAVE TWO CHOICES:

    I CAN CHOOSE TO BE DEPRESSED, SAD about my teaching method

    or I CAN CHOOSE TO LET GO MY IMPERFECTION AND LEARN MORE

    due to some of my pride, i persuade myself half-half in this situation…

    EVERYDAY I HAVE TWO CHOICES:

    CHOOSE TO BE SAD or CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY

    CHOOSE TO THINK A LOT then get depreesed and anxiety or
    CHOOSE TO TALK TO OTHERS ACTIVELY/ CARE FOR OTHERS

    CHOOSE THE SAD SIDE OF LIFE or
    CHOOSE THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE πŸ™‚

    pray harder for guidance and sleep early before 10.30pm (because after 11pm we will be more emotinal, scientist said οΌ‰
    take more morning sunshine, more exercises, different kinds of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, extra virgin oil,

    last but no least, be thankful for three small little things everyday when you wake up πŸ™‚

    I found out that people surrounding me dont like or accept my kind of attitude.

    they think i’m crazy and dont take seriously in life.

    At first , i cared about it,

    but now i think, Hey, this is my life, if i dont change it,
    who will suffer in the next few years or decades? Me.

    will the people surrounding suffer? No.

    Actually I got my satisfy job through fingerprint report, they call it demartology or something like that
    it can scan our brain intelligence and personalities through our fingerprint,

    then they will list out many different kind of carrers hierachy that suits us through matching our IQ, EQ, personalities and our strenghts… πŸ™‚

    at first i denied myself when i saw the result, i’m not confident to be a teacher
    untill i had tried other jobs then i gave up and then i said no choice, then i started to be a tuition teacher only that lights
    something up in my life.. πŸ™‚

    and Somehow and that very crucial time, i suddenly think about God, haha…

    I talked to Him in my head, and then gradually

    i calmed myself

    and very mysteryly, i stopped crying and start watching entertainment show for almost 3 days

    and did nothing, haha…

    after 3 days, i suddenly (again) get inspired and wanted to try to be an property agent…

    after that although it wasnt successful, but very fortunately i got scholarship and finally can go back

    to study…

    I had transferred my course, from design degree (then consider my future

    and very struggling and working full time promoter to find out for almost one year)

    to psychology degree (then after that because some stresses came, i cant take itοΌ‰

    then I started to do banking sales (lost my opportunity to study in univeristyοΌ‰

    then I started to do property

    untill today, my most satisfying job, part time tuition teacher πŸ™‚

    SORRY TO BE SO NAGGING, haha :p

    actually i had went through a lot hard time at time, no one beside me making the situation worse,

    but i Growth because of Him. Our Mother Nature’s Creator πŸ™‚

    after i quited my banking sales, i only realised that i cant go back to university anymore because of some
    reasons, i cried a lot because i dare not to face my daddy mummy,

    i dont know what to do,i nearly commit suicide that time

    i rememberred it was the longest time that i cried…

    I remembered I am souless two years back when i wasn’t study in univeristy.

    everyday i woke up, i hated my life.

    because i’m merely breathing and living just to go to work as a sales promoter

    and i cried a lot whenever i back home or i’m alone

    I didnt know what to do in my life

    I didnt know what can I do or contribute in future, I didnt even know what I’m living for

    so sometime i will think about commit suicide, but when i think about my parents who worked hard and loved me for years

    then i give up that thought even though my heart was really really pain…

    after few years, i only realised how to change my depression, anxiety and lonely life … πŸ™‚

    1) if u don’t have anyone to talk to, you can talk to yourself with writing all your head or heart voices in the diary,
    no matter happy, sad, angry, hopeless, excited…

    2) u can try to talk to God or our creator… do u believe that we also have a Mother/Father who always by our side?
    i talk and pray and disturb Him/Her everyday or whenever i’m alone and no one to talk to :p

    3) though i’m not Christian, but i know, that is some kind of word in Bible said, let all of your worries to Him. Because He care for us. πŸ™‚

    4) TRY TO CONCENTRATE MORE ON OTHERS. if you try to give volunteer or help people, the less that you will care for yourself and the more that you care for others, you don’t have time to be sad πŸ™‚

    for example, in future i’ll be a teacher, so i would like to give tutoring to orphange house when i’m free,
    so when i started my volunteering, the more i know for them, the more i trying to concentrate on how can i be a good teacher to guide them? how can i earn more money from part time job/ fundraising to donate food,daily usage thing, books, stationery and etc for them..

    hi dear Hannah, i don’t know that if i can help u or not, i’m just wanted to share something with you… πŸ™‚

    i also had depression and anxiety for only almost two years…

    it was just about stupid broken heart with a guy…

    (please forgive if my English wasn’t good enough, because i’m Mandarin native speaking :p )

    but after i change my university, i started get busy with life, catching assignments’ deadline, part-time work as well

    i’m busy with everything then i started to forget my grief…

    actually i have a long story wanted to share with you but i don’t know where to start…

    i know that i feel depression and anxiety and lonely

    and get cold easily because

    at that time I HAD NOT PURPOSE IN LIFE.

    i’m type of person who like to think a lot and sensitive a lot and low self esteem

    but i kind of know your feeling…
