What he did was genuinely sadistic. Stay away from this man. I know it’s hard to see pictures of him with a new girl but do not feel envious. she’s more likely kept in the dark as well. And he’s using her as a tool to make you jealous. And it’s cruel. But I will say that nothing about what he did make sense practically or logistically. It’s highly unlikely he was set up on a date by his friends, even if we take his word for that what type of toxic friends, does he surround himself with thinking!? Why would his friends think it’s okay to set up a man who just broke up with his girl on a date. Or they were already pushing the boundaries mentioning it to him. You don’t have to find out the truth but it’s always good to see different perspectives to see the flaws in his statements.

And it doesn’t matter if their relationship happened the day you broke up he still betrayed your trust and disrespected you by sending you those pictures, and posting them in discord spaces that he knows you’re in is so cruel. Him reaching out to you to check in is not because he cares he’s trying to get a reaction. He’s trying to hurt you. Block him. Don’t let him back into your life.

And it’s okay to mourn the good times you’ve had in the relationship. Often time men like that wear masks. Those times were good to you he was a completely different man to you and that reality is broken. now it’s time to heal and the best way to do that is separation.
