    Hey Tessa,
I don’t know if what I am going to say will help you or not but I hope it will.
Honestly, your head is in the right place. You’re acknowledging what you need to acknowledge and you seem like a very bright girl.
Of course, it’s going to suck adjusting to life without a partner in crime and without someone whom you can turn to as soon as sh*t hits the fan. But once you’ve fully adjusted, you’ll have experience living with your bestie and experience being independent. Then, you can truly determine which lifestyle you prefer and which is better for you.
If you like living with someone, you can find someone to live with. If you like the independence, you can choose to remain alone.
My advice would be to just stick it out for a bit, then adjust according to how you feel after giving it a fair shot.
It just sucks right now but we all have to endure at least a little rain before we can see the rainbow.

I hate phoniness and fakes more than anything in this world!
To be completely honest, I expect almost everybody to be phony at some point or another in their lives. My solution is to be the realest person I can be, recognize when others begin to act in a dis-genuine manner, and avoid them when they are being fake.
Although avoiding people may not be the best solution, I find that it sends a strong message and I find that it is the most effective solution for me.
You can preach and preach and preach about being authentic and real. But at the end of the day, people will do what benefits them most.
I can accept that fact and that is why I will avoid you if you are being fake.
That is why I can say with conviction that I am one of the most honest, sincere, and genuine people you will ever meet!
    Have a nice day y’all!!!

    Buruberu,
I don’t want to offend the tinybuddha moderators so I will refrain from saying anything further on this thread. Feel free to email me at thespiritualgangster17@gmail.com. We have things in common and I would love to discuss things with you in a more private setting.

    Hi Squidgirl,
You had mentioned that you only have to work with him for a bit longer?
How much longer? If it is a fairly short amount of time, I would recommend that you keep your head up and just try to stick it out until you are no longer in this toxic environment. I’ve learned throughout the years that work superiors aren’t always the most pleasant people to deal with. At the end of the day, you need to remember that they are in the role that they are for a reason. Life isn’t always fair and sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet. Maybe let your boss know how you feel towards the end of your tenure so they are aware of their behavior.
In the meantime, just continue to do your thing. Strive to be a better person everyday. One day, your boss will be a forgotten memory.
