Thank you so much for your concern and suggestions, I am touched that you cared to post to me after watching the news. I am glad to report to you that in my area the heat wave has passed. It lasted Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and was gone Tuesday. It was still very warm Tuesday, starting at 11+ am, but about 20 Degrees Fahrenheit  (7 Degrees Celsius, I think)  less hot, which is a big difference. Right now, Wed 7 am, it is chilly- like in a normal summer day, in this area.

As far as the water being warm during a heat wave- I know it happens, but here- during the heat wave- the water was cold, so I filled in the tub with cold water and soaked in it every so often to cool off. I also used ice packs against my body (they melted quickly). Global warming is an undeniable reality, which means that in the future, there will be more heat waves and new temperature records.
