I’m not new to reading this site but I’ve never participated in the forums. So here I am. I’m a 30 something, recently divorced, single Mama looking for myself and looking to finally live my life on purpose. What better place to do just this is in a community of such kind and loving, like-minded individuals. I’ve been a reading specialist for the last 11 years and I’m looking to supplement my income, find support and give support to others who are looking for ways to find their life’s purpose, alleviate stress and anxiety and become more mindful. I’m interested in creating an online course/website/e-book but am in need of suggestions and support from a community like you who might help me design something people might be looking for.  If this resonates with you I’d love to hear your comments to the following questions:

Why would you be interested in learning about using mindfulness to heal, alleviate stress and anxiety and find yourself?

What do you want to learn about mindfulness to heal, alleviate stress and anxiety and find yourself?

What problem do you have with finding your life’s purpose? What are the biggest hassles or challenges you
experience with being mindful and letting go?

Can you give me some examples and context of when you’ve had problems? When does it occur?

How does it affect you? What happens if you don’t solve the problem?

How will learning about being mindful help you?

Have you tried using other resources? What was good about that? What was missing?

What do you think would be the most helpful as you are learning about being mindful and actively seeking your life’s purpose?

How could I be the best instructor possible?

    Hi Tara

With regrades to the question:  What do you think would be the most helpful as you are learning about being mindful and actively seeking your life’s purpose? And How could I be the best instructor possible?

Let go of this idea of Purpose which is completely subjective and honorably misunderstood.

    Dear Tara,

Appreciate your honesty and the noble intentions that you have.

Your questions require some time and a bit of thought  to answer in the best possible way.  I will do so in some time.

Take care and wish you the best.

Sorry I was abrupt and didn’t have time to address the questions. To be candied I think most people have a bad relationship to the words like Purpose, meaning, happiness, forgiveness… even love.  We think we know what these things are and that they can be measured, touched, held, grasped… Because of this for many people words like purpose, meaning end up creating dissatisfaction with Life and more often then not when we name this something purpose and measure it we lose it.

I like what Campbel has to say on the matter of purpose

“We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about.” ― Joseph Campbel

“People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life (what is my purpose) . I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances with our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.” ― Joseph Campbell

“Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning (purpose) and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.” ― Joseph Campbell

You are already the answer! everything you do or don’t do is purpose and meaning
