The father is a widower raising two children after losing his wife to stage 3C ovarian cancer. After 35 years in enterprise software sales, he has been unemployed for 18 of the last 24 months. The family is now $16,661.82 behind on their mortgage. His daughter is in university and their house is listed but not selling. They need to raise CA$50,000 to keep their home.
