God, Almighty Father in Heaven, forgive them. They know not what they do or say. I honestly tried Lord, to do the job you gave me, to be your light on this sad and dark forum but I’ve failed. But that won’t stop me trying some more. I need some strength. Can you send me more strength? I feel so alone and I’m beginning to think they hate me. But they hated you too didn’t they. They didn’t listen to you either. So in a way, I’m walking in your footsteps too. That makes me feel a little less weary. But thank you Lord. I forgot to show my appreciation for speaking directly to me last week. I felt truly blessed. truly special.
“Our Father who art in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us……”

OK, Hi Anita! Good Morning Everyone!
OK, to me Atheist means you don’t believe in God and Agnostic means that you think something might be out there, but you don’t want to define it. Anita, I never lumped you into angry Atheists in my mind! One of my neighbors is Atheist, but she is not angry. She doesn’t think about religion at all!
And guess what? I don’t believe in hell (BOO!) LOL. In the OT the Hebrews named it SHEOL, meaning the literal place you go when you die (death/the earth). There are only a couple verses that might allude to fire and brimstone. But guess where that concept came from? The artists from Europe in the Middle Ages!!
I look to the Orthodox Jews, frankly, as my clue to what they meant by what’s in the OT. If they don’t believe in hell, then neither did the ancient Israelites in Jesus’ time, most likely!
Yes, I had a spiritual experience. I did not have a mental experience however, meaning I did not get a download of what all Christians (might) believe!
Glenda, yes, Jesus wanted his disciples to spread the good news, but dear, you are going about it ALL WRONG!! If anything, you are turning people AWAY from Christianity!!
Blessings.

November 15, 2015 at 9:24 am #87526AnonymousGuestOh dear, indeed.
Truth is stranger than fiction: I think Glenda is for real, and stranger than fiction. It is almost, no it is quite funny unless Glenda gets her hands on a dangerous weapon.
Laure, I like your input, makes sense. Jack, thank you- you know I do worry, of course. I like it that you know when I do.
Inky: I like it that you don’t believe in hell, the after death kind, anyway. I thought all Born Again Christians believe in hell. I thought all Christians believe in hell. This is teaching me to get even farther from grouping people and staying away myself from grouping myself. I don’t believe in a biblical god or in the bible as the word of a god. I believe the bible is a collection of many books written by people who projected an Inner Self (Jack) into an “objective” reality. If I say I am an atheist this may mean one thing to one person and another to other people. So it is not worthwhile for me to present myself as an atheist, better just explain in a few sentences as I just did.
Glenda: here is my .. prayer for you:
God whom I do not believe in, Almighty Father in Heaven of which I do not believe in, forgive Glenda who I do believe exists. She knows not what she does or says. I honestly tried to shed some light into this sad and dark place in between Glenda’s ears but I’ve failed. But that won’t stop me trying some more.
Here is my trying some more, then: Glenda, are you married to the man you have been living with for about ten years? Or are you fornicating?
Walk your talk and talk your walk. And please, do-no-harm.
Look inside you, Glenda and repent and be good to yourself. Do no harm to others. Please.

Funniest thing I’ve read in a while Anita 🙂 A classic!
November 15, 2015 at 12:54 pm #87538AnonymousGuestThank you, Jack. This opportunity to practice humor was handed to me on a silver platter.
anitaNovember 15, 2015 at 5:28 pm #87560NekoshemaParticipantYour title is “Christianity works for me. How about you?” Which give me the impression you wish to hear about our own personal path and what completes us. Then you starting shouting “Jesus” and posting your personal prayers, so congratulations on the misleading title. I am thrilled you found a path that speaks to you, but by carrying on as you do will cause more people to turn against you. I am happy on my path, as people are happy on their own. Good luck on your path, but please don’t try converting me, I found my spiritual path and I am perfectly happy as a Wiccan just as you are happy as a Christian.
November 15, 2015 at 5:31 pm #87561AnonymousGuestDear Nekoshema:
Since you just posted, I hope you can read this and answer: what is a Wiccan. I read some time ago about it but forgot what I read. Often I don’t retain information… especially if it is not clearly presented. Maybe you can tell me/us what it is in simplest terms, for you. (Glenda might freak out but I personally will take the chance)

November 15, 2015 at 5:48 pm #87568jockParticipantI find it interesting that Glenda thinks she is doing God’s work. From a psychological point of view, you’d call it delusional? Delusions of grandeur? So aren’t all those hardcore Christians, who are using arrogant language which just turns people off, also delusional? They need to work on their sales technique if they really want to sell their product.
Glenda, admit defeat. You owe it to us and yourself really. Don’t be so serious!November 15, 2015 at 5:55 pm #87570AnonymousGuestDear Jack/ Glenda:
It would be nice to have Glenda back. I hope she is not gone for good from the forum. I do hope she repents though. I am more than willing to forgive her. I mean it, I am. I will respectfully correspond with a respectful Glenda, a sensible Glenda.
anitaNovember 15, 2015 at 10:50 pm #87619GlendaParticipantI am sad to see you reject me and therefore reject the one who sent me, Jesus Christ, Our Saviour and Lord. The answer is clear. Beezelbub, Satan, has taken root here. He has poisoned your minds, made you blind to the truth. The devil is such an insidious character. He will sneak up on you, when you least expect. Infect you with pride and make you believe you can live this life without God. Well, I’m telling you. You can’t! Did you hear? You can’t!
Oh Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, glory to you on highest, praise be your name. You died for our sins, for OUR sins! Don’t they get that? Can’t they see? You suffered for OUR sins, now I’m suffering for their sins. But I don’t mind! I can take it because I know you, Lord God and Saviour are on my side. Yes, my side!
Repent, dear readers, repent. Right here right now, repent and make that monumental decision. Accept Jesus! yes Jesus! Right here, right now, repent. Give yourself over to the Lord Jesus Christ. Turn your back on Satan! He will never make you happy. But God will, I tell you. God will!
Alleleuia.Praise be Jesus, Glory to him on Highest!
Give your life to God and I can absolutely promise, he’ll give you eternal life. Don’t you want eternal life?November 16, 2015 at 4:53 am #87629InkyParticipantI think this is a troll, guys.
November 16, 2015 at 6:13 am #87632AnonymousGuestIt is possible, Inky, but looking at previous posts leading to this, I don’t know. She may very well be real as truth is often stranger than fiction. She wrote god spoke to her LATELY, must have been quite a conversation. If she is a troll, how does one explain so many people outside the online world, speaking in tongues, extracting demons out of people…how does one explain a Ben Carson, a brain surgeon?

November 16, 2015 at 6:49 am #87636NekoshemaParticipantAnita, Wicca is a ‘new age’ religion, founded by Gerald Gardner based on older religions [and some personal stuff] it’s earth bound and we worship a God and Goddess. [And while many believe in spellcasting and magic, they’re similar to prayers and not Harry Potter] There are different branches but the basic beliefs are the Rede [basically don’t harm] and the Threefold Law [karma times three] we are also against forcing our views. If someone asks a question we will do our best to answer it, but we don’t go door to door asking ‘if you heard the word of the Goddess’ lol. there’s a lot more to it but that’s basically it.
November 16, 2015 at 6:59 am #87639AnonymousGuestThank you for your explanation, Nekoshema. I like do no harm. The world would be such a different place, an extremely different place if that rule was followed.
