My friend has a huge crush on a guy whom she met in August. They spent a very good time for about 20 days where they met regularly and the guy clearly said he likes her (did not ask her out). After that he went to England as part of the exchange program . There according to her that guy is getting out and meeting with girls which is making her feel sad and insecure. She feels that he no longer cares about her as much as when he was with her. He remains online whole night and when they talk he replies late. Even though her crush says that he loves her and care about her but his actions seems inadequate.

The guy is sending mixed signals to her like he objects when she talks about having guy friends and going out with them but once when my friend talked about a blonde guy as if she had crush on him , that guy said he will help my friend to meet and talk to him. He says that he likes her and misses her but ignores her and dont text properly. Once my friend said that sometimes he brags about his looks and that girls are interested in him and that has furthur made my friend insecure.

While my friend is not sure whether she wants to be in relationship with that guy or just long for his companionship as a friend. But she gets jealous seeing him with others. I am pretty sure that she wants more than friendship from him but she is trying to deny it. Can anyone suggest how can friend come out of this feeling of jealousy ,insecurity as it is affecting her studies?

    Hi Vishal,

This is all part of growing up, it sounds like. It is up to HER to ditch this guy, become more sure of herself, and to keep up with her studies. Because a mature person knows that they are Number One and to not let some guy mess with her head or keep her from concentrating on her goals.

    Best,

    Inky

    Hi Inky,

I know she has to look forward but its hard to overcome these feelings. Is there something she could do to overcome this and get over her insecurity and jealousy regarding her crush?
