I appreciate any advice with this.

My GF and I have been together since June. She’s a student nurse redoing her 2nd year. She’s also on a nursing internship, she has a part time job and rugby practice/matches.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, the day after a couple of friends and I went to watch a football game, she sent me a message at 5am saying “I want to see you…”

I reply “I want to see you too, when are you free”

She tells me she cant. This really confused me.

Over the next week she gets in touch twice to ask how I am. I asked her out again and she said she couldn’t.

I don’t know what to think, but she’s either truly busy and can’t see me… or she’s lost interest and is blowing me off.

    What do you guys think?

Have you called her (not texting!!) and asked her about it?

She sounds pretty busy. I expect nursing is intensive.

    Hi Occitanie,

let’s not be too desperately to see her, when never she say she is busy, she might be busy.

Just be patient, give a 2 months time buffer.

Somehow if she is free and then you manage to meet her, you’re still good.

    Update:

She actually messaged me last night asking if I was interested in going to Sevilla in Spain with her.

I think she’s genuinely busy and not blowing me off.

With all of this, I could tooootally see her being extremely busy, too busy to find much free time. My life has been like this pretty much since the end of August and I’ve had a hard time getting out to see my friends at all. I think I may have been able to get out once? haha.  Sometimes when the schedule is overloaded, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get anything extra done.  It’s probably going to be like this a lot while she is in school but the good thing about nursing is that it’s generally less time in school than a lot of other careers, so you’ll only have to wait it out for so long and then her internship will hopefully become a job and she won’t need the extra part-time job anymore.
