Two years I had a breakdown and worked really hard to get to this stage of recovery, but I look around my life and a mess, it breaks my heart how I struggled with things but I end up feeling that nothing has changed, apart from me, who isn’t feeling much like me and seemingly can’t manage to shake feeling depressed and feeling like I don’t belong or have a purpose.  It’s driving my crazy.  I feel like I’m just f**king up constantly, I don’t know what I’m doing.

Has anyone been though this kind of thing, or have any ideas of suggestions? I would be so nice to talk to people that understand, I really want to live a full life, but at the moment I just now how, and people I know don’t understand why I act like I do, which also drives me crazy.

    Dear name:

Maybe it took you two years to recover, that is, to get to a place you were before the breakdown. But before the breakdown you needed healing and you still do. So following the recovery there is healing work to do. It has taken me so far seven years to heal and I am still in the process of healing.

The process of healing included understanding why you act like you do and changing behavior from ineffective to effective, from dysfunctional to functional, so that you act for your best interest, not against your best interest. I personally  wasted years and decades behaving against my best interest. I hope you waste less time than I have wasted. It is possible to heal and I hope you do.

Would you like to share more, anything about your breakdown, about your recovery and/ or the present behaviors that you are so frustrated with?

Name : are you getting therapy? Are you on antidepressants? are you exercising? if yes well have you tried… magic mushrooms? Yes, I just read an article a friend sent me that apparently there is a chemical in magic mushrooms that actually heals depression.
