Oh cool! How did you feel after the lie in?
I feel like the taking care of the inner child thing has really evolved. I had this nice moment the other day after getting groceries in where I let my inner child eat whatever she wanted and eat ice cream. There was a sense of glee to it. 😁

anitaParticipantWell, Alessa- I ate and I am F.U.L.L: chicken substituting for turkey, some other, fatty meat+ stuffing, cranberry sauce, beets (cake and dessert I didn’t have) and red wine.. and I am STUFFED.
Had a wonderful first meeting with a Canadian woman whose name is the same as mine, Anita, a psychotherapist (referred to as “a psychologist” up north; got her contact info.. a special experience meeting her.
Almost danced, but not quite.
I am GLAD the holidays- for me- are over. Hate the food aspect of it.. tasty though. I just like every day to be the same as the one before. I don’t like “special” days.. just regular days 😌

I’m feeling better today. I got some medicine that helped because I developed an infection.
It’s really busy again. Sorry I didn’t manage to check in yesterday. I was just so tired. ❤️

It’s okay that you didn’t check in yesterday. I noticed and thought to myself that you were busy (and indeed you were).
The main reason I don’t like holidays is the food. I am anxious in regard to gaining weight. Had leftover cake and pie last evening though. It is interesting how satisfactory it can be to eat just a little dessert. I used to binge eat- large amounts. I am glad I haven’t done that in years. Still there’s anxiety about eating and body weight.
I’m glad you’re feeling better today and hope the infection clears soon!
