I got involved with a guy I was very interested in on a dating site last April, and we ended up going on dates for about 6 weeks. I told him I was traveling throughout the summer. He said that was fine, and when I got back we could see where we were. Before I left, I got more emotionally involved than I thought I would be, and he started to pull away. I wanted to have a fun summer and try not to focus on things happening at home, so I told him I thought it was better if we didn’t talk to each other while I was there. He seemed disappointed, but said he would be happy to talk if I wanted to. The last night I was home was pretty emotional – he didn’t want to do anything romantic or with me alone, just have a beer with me and his friends or see a movie with them. I was disappointed, so I decided not to see him. Then I went to London and didn’t speak to him for a while, and a couple of weeks before I came back I sent him a quick message just to say hi. He replied and we went back and forth a bit, then he stopped responding. Now I’m back home, and I’d like to see him again if he’s ready for it. But I don’t know whether to wait and let him initiate contact, or reach out to him. I don’t want to push him into something he’s not comfortable with, just see where we are. Maybe I should move on. What do you think?

There’s nothing wrong with giving it a shot, reach out!

Be authentic. No game playing. If you want to see him, reach out to him. Sometimes you just have to be the one to take a chance. If he’s worth the effort, he will respond with positivity. If not, well you got your answer. Wishing you the best.
