It doesn’t matter what you do, you create a karma. If that karma is good or bad depends on how you would feel if someone did the same to/for you.

    So ask yourself:
How would I feel in the girls place _and_ how would I feel in the boys place.

If you do or not do – that action will happen to you as well in the future of your samsaric existences…

    Good luck!

    It was a rollercoaster.

    Don’t – ever – go – back – Don’t – ever – go – back – Don’t – ever – go – back !

This will be how you two work together, always. A rollercoaster is not a good relationship (even if it is quite common). A relationship must be based on stability, trust and mutual care.

You can love him, like him, respect him, wishing him happiness, etc. pp. AND never ever reboot that relationship!

Thank him for the lessons learned and move on.

    Hi Gj!

First: you do have support, here!

Second: you counselor had the right idea, but lacking a method: “I even met a life counsellor and her advice was to focus on being happy.”

Third: Apply Karma, Cause & Effect. In your case it is simple: To experience happiness yourself, find a way to make others happy/content.

Help in an animal shelter or a homeless kitchen. Go to places where you can remove a little of the suffering of other sentient beings and sooner than later that karma comes to fruition for you.

Just do it and you are already on your way up.
