    Dear Lindsay Harrington:

I agree with you. It is very unhealthy to have a relationship with a dishonest person- it will do nothing but hurt you. Best for you to have no contact with him at all because you will get more and more lies if you do have contact with him.

He can tell you things like: I introduced her to my family not because I was serious about her but because they all needed their hair cut. Or he can tell you, I introduced her to my family so to make you jealous, or (I can come up with more, but enough). As ridiculous as these sounds, when you are emotionally invested in a person, you just lose your ability to think sensibly, hence the term “blindsided”.

You are correct in saying he will do anything to serve him. It gets even worse! He contacted me again to tell me never mind, I just wanted to apologize. I dont actually want to get back together.

    Dear Lindsay Harrington:

And yet it can get even worse: if what happens next is that you chase him! Wouldn’t that be worse? To get back in a relationship with him, my goodness, that would be worse!

He is giving you information as to what man you do NOT want, so use this information to select a good man for a loving relationship in the future.
