I have been dealing with anxiety and overthinking for a while, and recently I started looking into Emotional Support Animals to see if they actually help people manage stress and mental health challenges. I came across My ESA Therapist while researching ESA evaluations and support options, and it made me curious about other people’s experiences.

For those who have an ESA, did it genuinely help with anxiety, loneliness, or emotional stability in daily life? I would also like to know how your experience was with getting an ESA letter online and whether the process felt legitimate and supportive.

Mental health can feel overwhelming sometimes, so I think discussions like this can help people who are considering emotional support options feel more informed.

    Hi Mark

I would say yes, with caveats. You have to be able to take care of them which is a pretty big commitment. 🩵

I’ve found it really helpful. Plus, doggy people are generally friendly. So it can definitely help with socialising as well.

My dog was really great at noticing when I’m having anxiety attacks and comforting me.

I wouldn’t know about how to get one. I just trained my own. 🩵

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask! 🩵
