    I’m sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I really want to find out what it means. So basically the dream starts out as me in the backseet in the car along with my family, my mom in the passengers seat and my dad in the drivers seat. I don’t really have the best relationship with my dad but anyway, we were in a curvy road and we were driving fast and not being very careful. It was on a bridge/highway and I think there were a few other cars, but I wasn’t really paying attention. There was also a snow storm that made the road really icy. I was arguing with my dad about stupid decisions that we was wrong about, I remember my mom kind of agreeing with me. I also noticed a submarine behind us, and I yell at my dad to look, unintentionally causing a car crash. The car crash includes of sliding off the bridge and landing in the water below, it is somewhat sunnier by where we land. The dream doesn’t end right before we land in the water, but a few seconds after. I’m sorry f it comes off weird or random, and it may not mean anything, but it was really put together in my dream. So thanks for any help!

    Dear Brayden:

    Maybe your dream means that you are not having a good relationship with your father, but he has control of your life (he is driving the car and you are in the backseat). He is leading your life but you don’t like his leadership. You don’t trust him to do a good job managing your life.

    I would like to think that your dream means that it is a good idea for you to prepare to drive your own car, that is, to manage and lead your own life. Depending on your age, prepare to get in the driving seat of your own car (symbolically), not your family’s car.

    I don’t believe dreams predict the future or anything like that. Do you?

    Thanks and I don’t really know. I guess anything possible, but the dream was kind of unrealistic.

    Hi Brayden,

    I just thought of an additional meaning. Have you heard the term “Backseat Driver”? In the dream you were the one (the backseat driver) who told your dad to look at something, inadvertently causing a car crash.

    So, IRL, your dad is metaphorically driving the FAMILY car. But IRL do you ever give your dad advice? What would happen if he followed it? Do you fear eventually being the head of the family? And yet don’t fully trust your dad to do the job? And is your mom in the symbolic passenger side and is just “along for the ride”?

    Fascinating dream!
