Within my friend group, I am well known for being the person to go to. I love it. Having deep personal conversations is what I live for. Having conversations like these is a strong suit of mine, and I’m good at it. I don’t mean to put myself up on a pedistool; just trying to give an understanding.

Although I feel like I’m always helping everyone else. I want someone to be there for me to the same extent and with the same understanding that I give.

I’m not sure what response I’m looking for on this post, but I wanted to write it out.

    Dear Q:

I read both your initial posts and I’d like to respond to both here.

“he started to cry and told me that he’s trying so hard to be better because of me. That I’m his inspiration… why can’t I accept and take this as a compliment?… I feel like I’m always helping everyone else. I want someone to be there for me to the same extent and with the same understanding that I give.”-

Maybe, just maybe this role of taking care of others started early on in your life, maybe taking care of a parent so that he/ she will be able (once helped enough, once strong enough) to take care of you..?

And you got really good at helping others.. yet the reward (being helped back) didn’t reach you yet?

    Hi Q

I hear you. The joy and the difficulties. You do deserve to have someone who is there for you as much as you are there for them. You can also be that person for yourself. Don’t forget to look after you whilst you’re looking after others. You deserve that too! ❤️

Being the person with all the answers, can sometimes make it difficult to find someone who can give you the answers that you need.
But, if you need a friend who can listen and at times give you (some bad and some worse) advice then you have found the right place.
I can’t say that we won’t judge you but we won’t turn you away.
