Let me start off by saying that we are in a wonderful place in our lives. This hasn’t been a road lined with daffodils and puppies but more like barbed wire and alligators. But, today, here we are. We live simply, we live abundantly and we live a life we are satisfied in. Our story is one of many, I’m hoping, and we often sit back at the end of a day and wonder “How did we ever get this lucky?”
The “we” in this situation is myself (Montana) and my girl (Cat). We have known each other for about 10 years now as we worked together at a small company at that time. Since then we’ve “seen” each other’s activities on LinkedIn or Facebook but never really kept in touch. All that changed in December last and we’ve been a couple since. How this happened we’re still not too certain but we are not who we were 10 years ago and grateful for it as we have both grown so much and have found ourselves before we “saw” each other.
Today we are living in SoCal in a 27 foot RV. This is our choice. Our monthly overhead is very minimal. We don’t have “jobs” as some would describe it. However, we travel in our RV to get away from our vacation lifestyle. We are creating a decent income. We live better and have more options than most of our friends who are burdened with mortgages and car payments. We are debt free. We owe no one. We are here, or over there on a whim.
Our life goal is to promote a life of Freedom to others. We want other folks to live with the options that we have. We can work as we need, move about as we want or just park at a beach for a few days and do nothing. In all of this Not Doing we are promoting the words and works of Gandhi, Buddha and the gurus. We teach words of love, joy, hope, peace and freedom.
We love our life. We love each other. We watch those around us grind themselves into the ground each day and barely squeak by. It breaks our hearts. We did it. We left the hamster wheel behind and live a much more exciting life.
I’m not selling anything. This isn’t a build up for “buy my stuff” don’t think that because I have nothing to sell you. Just do one thing for yourself each day. Spend 5 minutes envisioning a new better life. Define it. Picture it. Figure out the details of it. No limitations. Buddha says “what you think you will become”. I know this is true. This is how we went from jobs we hated barely making enough to get through a month to having money in the bank, optional work opportunities and the Freedom we longed to have.
Define your dream, then live it.

“Life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.” ― Joseph Campbell
Great to read a post of someone bring meaning to Life!
“If you follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.” ― Joseph Campbell

These are excellent pieces. Thank you for sharing them. As for doors opening where we did not know … welcome to our yesterday. We met with someone who dropped so much good stuff on us we’re still in shock. We don’t know the details but we are firm on the vision.
Today we spent time talking and envisioning the Result of that conversation and we left all limitation behind including the fact that we have no idea how to make it happen. But, that’s not our concern. That’s for Out There to bring to happen. We meet folks who are guiding us and sharing life with us that we did not know just a few days ago.
It’s not enough to Wish or Hope That One Day …. picture it. Feel it. Dream Big Dreams and build those things in our minds. Then, watch the pieces fall together in front of you. Then living the life as it has been designed for you is as easy as getting onto a commuter train. Just step onto the platform and Whoooosh !!! You are on your way. All I can do is encourage folks now. As I have seen it, I want to see it for them also. Freedom, is ours for the taking.

July 27, 2017 at 2:26 pm #160564PeterParticipantYou reminded me of something I read recently about Synchronicity
“Synchronicity, a spiritual tool of the psyche – Just the right persons come along and just the right impact is made so that wholeness can happen. As we saw earlier, something, we know not what, call it psyche or grace, is always at work, we know not how – call it synchronicity or grace – so that the wholeness always and already is in us can come out. Synchronicity is honored when chance meets choice and we act in accord with what has begun from beyond our ego.” – ‘Shadow Dance: Liberating the Power & Creativity of Your Dark Side’ By David Richo
Synchronicity when chance meets choice… when Fate meets Free will… Destiny and Choice dancing together on the same path… working together in our becoming.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” I think your post says it all Jack. There is much for many to learn from you my friend. Including myself so I thank you from my heart and Sul.
