Who is qualified to make a just judgement on you? Who’s going to care for you? Understand you? Be there in the ways you need? Putting yourself first as numero uno and being okay with that within yourself isn’t selfish, but survival. At the end of the day, you don’t owe a red cent of explanation to anybody for the way you choose to choose yourself. I spent way too much time worrying about the wrong things. Trying to include others into my decision of peace with the end not being peace at all. It was a detrimental cycle of neglect and unwise decisions. I bent my knee to the throne of other peoples selfishness. I don’t need to be included in what others are doing, I owe myself that. Peace keepers don’t wield the sword for nothing. Some people just don’t know how to behave. Sometimes you need to draw that sword to keep the peace, with wisdom and good judgement guiding you.
