I did not report Anita’s post. And, I have apologized for my post. It was merely to point out her wishing for one thing in one moment. Then wishing for the opposite the next moment. This is suffering. The constant wanting for something else. Seems to me that you read quite a bit more into my post than what was actually said. No matter, I accept your criticism. I bow my head to your wisdom.

    Good Tues night, Annie 🙂

Eight days ago, you wrote to me that you’d be happy to speak to me. You also wrote that day that you have little energy.

I’m still here if you want to speak to me.

Yeah, I’ve had a rough ride too. Speaking on that chalk board scratcher, science utterly failed me in my healing process from trauma and mental health. Matter of fact, the very things “experts” say not to do is giving me the most peace: forgetting, compartmentalizing and unlearning. I have experienced that loneliness and seclusion in a very profound way, especially the more I talked about my situation and my trauma to bright eyed ignorant people, who seem to always be an expert on things they don’t intimately know. I got off medication after years of trial and error and talk therapy never helped at all. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very glad they were there for me and tried to help, and maybe they did in ways unmeasurable, but at the end of the day I’m my own savior. I’m in a transitional state right now from “scientifically studied” methods of recovery which failed, and moving on with a more spiritual approach I suppose. Religion failed me, science failed me, people failed me… I’m at the point of wanting to become the most ignorant person ever, just to produce peace and stability in my life. Just because I don’t show my wisdom with meaningless words doesn’t mean I don’t know what’s going on. I think if you were truly at peace with yourself you wouldn’t need to wave around your “accomplishments” to feel important. Most people don’t care anyways. My advice for that dude is to zip his lips and get to scratchin’. I’m sorry you’re going through so much, not everybody realizes how bad life can get.

    Just a dude living life.

Radically accepting my emotions is great stuff and helpful, mine tend to jerk me around.

I have been listening to overthinking videos and about detachment recently. It is helping me. To say to myself, “this is just thinking”.

To stop overexplaining myself. Is huge.

I actually have been to a Friends meeting. I stopped b.c. I was feeling overwhelmed and it was a three hour haul. I am in recovery physically as well as mentally. But amazing you said that.

I am trying to detox from a rigid Catholic upbringing.

You say a lot I resonate with. Talk therapy never helped with my CSA. Bright eyed ignorant people is a good way to put it. who seemed very intent on impressing me with their therapeutic credentials but never lived thru my sh– – or if they did can’t discuss it. IMO most of them were just using me to figure out their own crap. I did have one good therapist back in the day who really tried to listen but if she’s not a survivor, I feel it can only go so far. Peer support can be useful I feel.

I am going my own way. I do take an anxiety med at present b.c. I have to as my body has spasms due to what happened. I feel very unsafe in public sometimes. They wanted me to try zoloft and it gave me horrible side effects. If others need meds, more power to them, it can truly help people, but for me I can only tolerate the anxiety meds from time to time.

I am walking and doing tai-chi when I can in the mornings. Labeling thinking “thinking”. I also need to find my own way thru this with my conception of God, as I do believe in God, to assist me. I am detoxing from a lot.

Go easy as the man said.

For me suffering has a lot to do with letting my emotions run the show, the impact of an evil man and a woman who colluded with it, and how it shaped my perceptions of myself and others. The church I grew up in did not allow me breathing room to become a full woman, a full human being. Respected.

Letting go of what they taught me, unteaching myself, keeping what I need to, and kindness to self is huge for me atm. Go easy, a bus driver said to me once. Great advice.

Go easy as the man said.

What a pleasant surprize to read from you again, Annie! Glad you’re here.

I am so sorry you experienced CSA. Indeed, a man perpetrating such abuse is an evil man, and the woman colliding with it is an evil woman.

You wrote: “Radically accepting my emotions is great… To stop overexplaining myself. Is huge… For me, suffering has a lot to do with letting my emotions run the show”-

For as long as I did not radically accept my emotions, and instead, pushed them down, sort of flattening them (taking away their 3rd dimension, suffocating them)-

they naturally rebelled.. fueling lots of overthinking and overexplaining, and running the show in ways that harmed me even further.

It’s been a process to give my emotions back their natural 3-d, to let them breathe, and with that practice, I am getting healthier, one step, one day at a time.

If this resonates, I’ll be glad to share more.

    * edit: COLLUDING, not colliding
