My friend and I have been dealing with each other off and on for  18 yrs. He has crossed the line by looking on my cell phone. At the same time when I text him he says he is busy so I am confused if he really likes me or not. He even found name of another guy that I am friends with and used it as a post on Facebook. I need to know what to do I am falling in love with him.

I think the best way to tell is to ask him, but I’m wondering… why would you want to be exclusive with someone who would invade your privacy by looking at your cell phone? That shows a clear lack of trust.

I wasn’t sure of the reason why he looked on my phone. I am afraid to ask because of rejection.

Well you are sure now, right? Since it sounds like he was snooping.  Given the questions you’ve asked on here lately that none of us can really give you a solid answer to because we just aren’t him, I think you two should really have a conversation about where you both stand and what you both want.  Rejection can be scary but it’s usually better than always wondering.

I know but still scared to do it. Maybe during sex or something.

    Hi Lisa,

Stop having sex with him! Did I read that right? Once the sex stops, then you’ll KNOW if he wants to see you exclusively or not.

The snooping and knowing everything about your other guy friend shows me that there is at least a little possessiveness going on.

Also, the less you sleep with him, the less likely you are to fall in love with him.

    Best,

    Inky

    Hi Lisa,

I remember when I felt like you right now. Does she like me, but then she did this, but then she said that. And it was a rollercoaster of emotions up and down, several times a day.

Eventually I learnt to listen to my inner instinct voice.

Everything aside, his looks, personality, attributes – Do you really want to be with someone who makes your emotions go like a rollercoaster? bringing you insecurities and questioning yourself?

I am now with someone who brings me peace and trust since day one. There was no dramas, or insecurities or doubts. From day 1.

Ask yourself, what is MOST important to you in the person you want to be with for the rest of your life. I’m sure it trust and security are near the top of the list.
