why is it that when i try to be optimistic, i get a foreboding feeling in my stomach that something bad is going to happen? usually, i go right back to my usual: worrying and feeling bad and sorry for myself and thinking up worst-case scenarios. i really wish i could stop because i want to be happy and look forward to my life, not dread it.

    any tips? thanks, friends.

I hear you, I find it hard to be optimistic as well on many occasions. What others call pessimism I tend to call realism. When this is the case with me I usually try to think that, no matter the situation, there are so many people in the world that are worse off. Then whatever the situation suddenly doesn’t feel so negative anymore. 🙂

I tell The Universe, “I won.”

Then, when it’s finished having its little cosmic tantrum around me I say, “I still won.” With a wink and a smile. 😉 🙂

Basically have the attitude that even if everything falls apart, you will enjoy the ride anyway and that The Journey is all that, and that The Goal just determines how long the Awesome Ride will be.

    chelsea Bad feelings=Bad life.
Try not to feel bad in any time.
Do something that makes you happy. If you think that sth holds back your happiness stop it now.
Whenever you feel bad ,try to find what makes you unhappy, and stop doing it.
For example other people. If someone makes you feel bad,get rid of him.
If something doesn’t help you grow don’t do it.THeseare practical ways, and sometimes we must stop doing sth
    than doing sth.
    Have a nice day.
