Dear Zenith: A colonoscopy in India..? I’d think you would have had it done in the U.S., where you live. But regardless, better get it over with before your stay with your mother. It’s almost 6 am in India, I assume you’ll be having it in the afternoon. Any particular reason you have it at your age (younger).. and in India?

About being overwhelmed, think of the nice sedative you’ll receive when you’re there. I had only one colonoscopy in my life, and once given the sedative.. I had such a good time during the procedure (I am not exaggerating, the drug was that .. effective!)

Its quite cheap in India and also I have my in laws to take care of the kid.You are right the drug made fall asleep faster lol.Its been two weeks since I am in India and was excited to meet my mother. It just triggered my religious OCD.Everybody in my family are more religious and ocd is telling me that i am a bad muslim. This theme sucks.I have been living with it for the past few years and it just sucks.

    Dear Zenith:

I knew you’d survive the colonoscopy, and you’ll survive the recent bout of religious OCD. No wonder it got triggered in India, with your family, because that’s where it started.

OCD is telling me that I am a bad Muslim. This theme sucks“- what if you talk back to the OCD and say to it: you suck, ocd! Maybe standing up to the ocd will make a difference!

I always felt less anxious at my mother’s place, but now I don’t have the peace of mind.“- key word: less (anxious). OCD will make any person anxious, that’s why it sucks. What if now, that you are in the location where religious ocd started, what if you courageously talk back to it/ stand up to it?

    Dear Zenith:

Hush that voice, lower its volume, literally utter hushhh shhhhhhhh, kind of suffocate its voice under the hushing.

Dear Zenith: I was wrong to think you might be back to the U.S., it’s a 2-month visit to India, so not back before August. How’s your stay with your mother and sister?
