We call this child as therapist in my circle, the child helps the parent with their trauma without consent. There’s actually a cartoon called Opal which fundamentally has one such abuser the child encounters. I’m actually wondering if Opaline from My Little Pony G5 is actually using Misty in such a way and Opaline’s name is a reference to Opal? (Not Rarity’s Cat!)
