Good very late Sunday morning (here), Robi, Roberta, fellow Capricorns 😃

Robi (33 years old, not 34 yet), you uploaded.. that’s a Capricorn thing? (It’s been a very long time since I looked at astrology, but I’m now intrigued. I’ll investigate when I’m back to the computer).

I’ll always want to be in touch with you. It even crossed my mind hearing your voice on the phone one day.. too exciting though.

    Back 2 U later.

Hi Roberta, good to hear from you!

It always amazes me how many things I have in common with people from the other side of the world. I’m guessing you too, are located in the US 🙂 Is Roberta a common name around there? Over here there are a few Roberts but very few Robertas.

I’m having an okay day.. could be a bit better though 😀
You too have a nice day!

    Dear Anita,

23:30 here – listening to Enya – Caribbean Blue on my Hi-Fi. Old school, Vinyl. Sounds really warm.. and real.
I so often forget how much I like listening to music. I got myself some fancy hi-fidelity earphones and used them twice in 3 months. I often ask myself how come I rarely do the things I like? Things like playing the piano, listening to music.. working on a video.. doing a photo session. ==> Creating. I don’t really create much. I consume a lot though. I consume a lot!
I need to shift from consumer to creator. I was creating once.. a lot. But stopped.. for some reason.

I’ve decided I’m going to have an “avatar” on this forum from now on. I don’t usually have any clear pictures of myself on the internet or WhatsApp. These are usually photos like this one – pictures of my own shadow doing all sorts of things. I guess in the last few years I value my privacy more and more. Ironically, I’m sharing my life story on a public forum :)) But this, for some reason doesn’t bother me at all.

Damn! So many things I’d like to get back to… Where have I been all this time?!
As for the phone, sure we can do that one day! 🙂

You have a nice day ahead!

    By the way, I’m curious.. Are u familiar with a band called E N I G M A ?
I somehow transitioned from Enya to a different kind of new age music.. a Romanian guy called Michael Crețu.. who is behind the Enigma project. During the early 90’s he released his first album M C M X C a.D..
I was wondering if his music – particularly his first album got popular in the states.

    Dear Robi:

My goodness, I’m so ignorant when it comes to .. well, lots of things, including Enigma and Enya. I didn’t even recognize the image being from Avatar. For the last decade I haven’t watched TV at all, haven’t seen any movies and I only listen to the same old same old music. I’ll B back 2 U tonight. I hope you’re sleeping restfully at this time, 1:45 am 🌙😴💤

Only now going to sleep – well.. after this last song.
The image isn’t from avatar. The image is me ( well.. my shadow ) flexing my bicep during one of my workouts here in Romania:)) What I meant by avatar is profile picture.

Its been a while since I stayed up till 2 am.. I guess its been a while since I really listened to music.

No Wayyy: this is you, Robi1992?

I thought it was an AI generated image of a perfect human specimen that doesn’t exist in real life..

(Going back to the photo, enlarging it..

    NO WAY!!!

    This IS YOU???

You said you’re fit, I had no idea how visibly fit.

    (Going back to the photo)..

    W. O. W.

Will get back to you, just need to say a few more wows first.

    Wow-ed 🤯 Anita

    W.O.W.

Well, I am not a fair representation of what music is popular in the U S. The last new American music I was into was Eminem’s song about his mother.

I even remember the words: “I said I’m sorry momma, I never meant to hurt you-ou, I never meant to make you cry, but tonight I’m cleaning out my closet”.

It resonated a lot, the words and the anger in that song.

I will ask AI if the Romanian’s guy’s music was or is popular in the U.S. I’ll be interested in listening to a song there, later on, when I’m back to the computer (using my phone now).

You wrote earlier: “I need to shift from consumer to creator. I was creating once.. a lot. But stopped.. for some reason”-

Could it be the common fear of not being good- enough?

I didn’t read all of your 11:30 pm message, or wasn’t focused enough when I read through it earlier. Now I see that you did explain that’s it’s a picture of your own shadow.

Which brings me to my next post:

    Copilot (AI) says: “W.O.W!

    No, no.. Just kidding 🙂

    Let’s try again.

Copilot says: “Yes, Enigma was definitely popular in the U.S., especially that first album, MCMXC a.D. The album reached No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and remained on the chart for more than five years, which is pretty remarkable. It was also certified 4× Platinum in the U.S. and sold millions of copies.

I can see the connection between Enya and Enigma. Both create immersive, ethereal soundscapes, but Enigma added a stronger electronic and rhythmic element. MCMXC a.D. was one of those albums that introduced a lot of Americans to new-age/world-influenced music, even if listeners didn’t normally follow the genre.

Yes, Enigma became quite popular in the States, although I’d say the name “Enigma” was much better known than Michael Crețu. Many people loved the music and recognized tracks like “Sadeness,” but probably couldn’t tell you who created it. He was one of those artists who stayed largely behind the scenes while the project itself became the star. That’s part of what made Enigma feel so intriguing back then..

What I find interesting is that despite all that success, most people remember Enigma and songs like “Sadeness” or “Return to Innocence,” but have no idea who Michael Crețu is. He seemed to prefer letting the music be the star rather than becoming a celebrity himself.”-

This makes me think about what you wrote earlier: “I need to shift from consumer to creator”- letting your creation be the star rather than becoming a celebrity yourself..?

    Dear Anita,

Funny how often I think I’m kinda not that fit. I guess there’s always many levels to everything 🙂 Not complaining at all, I feel good in my own body but I often think I should be doing better. But.. I guess aren’t we all?

You mentioned Eminem!!! That’s my first CD I’ve ever got for myself.. The Eminem Show – his 4th album and the one containing the Cleaning Out my Closet track. Funny, I used to like that song too.. back then.. in.. 2002..2003? Of course didn’t quite know what it was all about. Or maybe I did…but didn’t quite understand just yet.. Damn! I’ll put that song on right now. I still a copy of that album somewhere.

You wrote earlier: “I need to shift from consumer to creator. I was creating once.. a lot. But stopped.. for some reason”-

Could it be the common fear of not being good- enough?

Oh yeah for sure there’s fear of not being good. That’s my usual thing.. Whenever I even think of getting any job I always play out all sort of things in my head. ” but what if I mess up that or this? ” ” what do I do then? ”
And it could be anything. If we’re talking a café job – barista or whatever people who make coffee are called these days,
I would be afraid of making bad coffee.. or messing up those ridiculous heart, flower, leaf shapes these people make when applying the milk. I think it’s called latte art. Anyway.. those kind of worries. Or even worse.. what if I spill an entire cup of coffee into someone’s lap? That actually happened once.. It wasn’t coffee.. it was water, ice and Coca-Cola. I’ve managed to unload all that onto some lady’s lap. Cooled her down a little if u ask me. However, husband wasn’t very fond of that gesture. But guess what. I’ve survived.

So back to what I was saying. Yes.. there’s a lot of fear of doing anything. Anything that requires me to perform things.
Of course.. I’ve done things. I’ve worked in places.. schools etc. But ALWAYS felt tension in my body and worried that some things might get challenging. Until I kinda got used to it.. and then I’d feel okay.. ( until something new would show up.. something different that would again require me to adapt. another wave of anxiety.. until I get used to it and realise it’s akay. again and again ).

Yeah.. this is something I need to let resurface a little and take a good look at it.

This guy wrote a got damn song about my mother :)) That’s what it feels like to me right now ! Oh my god!
I don’t think I’ve listened to this song since then.. in 2003. DAMN!
