Tiny Wisdom: On Money

“The real measure of your wealth is how much you’d be worth if you lost all your money.” -Unknown

When you take an inventory of the people in your life who matter, how frequently do you visualize their net worth alongside their smiling faces? When you look back at the teachers–in the classroom and in life–who inspired you to be stronger and greater, how often do you consider the size of homes?

It would be irresponsible to suggest we don’t need money to live. Your children probably appreciate those beds and pants they’ve come accustomed to using daily. But if there’s one thing these challenging economic times have taught us, it’s that we can give a lot even if we don’t get a lot.

How can you be valuable today–both to yourself and the people around you?

Yeah this one hits home with me, too. I've finally realized I chase money because I think it equals happiness, but it doesn't. It only makes you happy if you were before you got it.

As a student of money habits this has got to be my favorite tweet from the tinybuddha so far. I've met millionaires that were unhappy, and those considered poverty who were “in” joy! I'll definitely keep this one for reference.

What is the point of quoting “unknown?” Is it because you want everyone to know you’re a cunt hole?
