We set the standard for how we want to be treated. Our relationships are a reflection of the relationship we have with ourselves.

Love is when you sit beside someone doing nothing, yet you feel perfectly happy.

The greatest gift you can give to others is the gift of unconditional love and acceptance.

Single is no longer a lack of options, but a choice. A choice to refuse to let your life by defined by your relationship status but to live every day Happily and let your Ever After work itself out.

No matter how old you both get, never stop holding hands, never stop dancing, and never stop saying, ‘I love you.’

If you can lie down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

We are all capable of helping and hurting. We are all giving at times and selfish at others. Every last one of us has the potential for darkness and light. So forgive others, forgive yourself, look for light in the world, and shine your own. And never forget that people can grow and change. Never stop believing in the healing power of love and kindness. And most importantly, never stop believing in yourself.

What’s in your heart is far more important than what’s in your resume, your job description, and your bank account.

Most relationships fail because we spend too much time pointing out each other’s mistakes and not enough time enjoy each other’s company.

Never define yourself by your relationship status, your income, or your looks. It’s your generosity, kindness, and compassion that counts.

The world isn’t filled with ‘haters’ and ‘toxic people.’ It’s filled with people who are hurting and trying, ineffectively, to give themselves some relief. So distance yourself if you must, but try to do it with empathy, not judgment. The only cure for ‘haters’ is love, so try to show them more kindness than they showed you. This is how we can slowly make the world a more loving place.

Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.

Live simply. Dream big. Be grateful. Give love. Laugh lots.

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.

Life is short. Spend it with friends who make you laugh and feel loved.

There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but have to learn, people we can’t live without but have to let go.

The world would be a happier, more peaceful place if we all tried to understand instead of judging, paused before reacting, and gave each other the benefit of the doubt instead of assuming the worst.

Blood makes you related. Loyalty makes you family.

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile, and who love you no matter what.

Never underestimate the power of good morning texts, apologies, and random compliments.
