Sometimes you get what you want. Other times, you get a lesson in patience, timing, alignment, empathy, compassion, faith, perseverance, resilience, humility, trust, meaning, awareness, resistance, purpose, clarity, grief, beauty, and life. Either way, you win.

You know how every once in a while you do something and the little voice inside says, ‘There. That’s it. That’s why you’re here.’ …and you get a warm glow in your heart because you know it’s true? Do more of that.

Ironically enough, when you make peace with the fact that the purpose of life is not happiness, but rather experience and growth, happiness comes as a natural byproduct. When you are not seeking it as the objective, it will find its way to you.

You can’t give your life more time, so give the time you have left more life.

Maybe your life purpose isn’t supposed to be a thrill-seeking narrative. What if you’re meant to be the sunshine to someone’s stormy day? Or the voice of clarity to a frantic mind? You don’t have to be a superhero to save the world.

I don’t care much for things I can’t take with me after I die. Give me love. Moments. Purpose. Things that’ll settle in the soul.

In case no one told you today:
 You’re beautiful. You’re loved. You’re needed. You’re alive for a reason.
You’re stronger than you think. You’re going to get through this.
I’m glad you’re alive. Don’t give up!

Everybody does not have to like you. That is not their job. Liking you is not anyone’s purpose in life except yours.

We all have two lives. The second one starts when we realize that we only have one.

We are each gifted in a unique and important way. It is our privilege and our adventure to discover our own special light.

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others, and if you can’t help them don’t hurt them.

All men should strive to learn before they die, what they are running from, and to, and why.

Sometimes in tragedy we find our life’s purpose. The eye sheds a tear to find its focus.

What is the meaning of life? To be happy and useful.

I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive.

The best way to keep good intentions from dying is to execute them.

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.

What you do today is important, because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.

There is not one big cosmic meaning for all, there is only the meaning we each give to our life.

Our obligation is to give meaning to life, and in doing so to overcome the passive, indifferent life.
