If you know someone who’s depressed, please resolve never to ask them why. Depression isn’t a straightforward response to a bad situation; depression just is, like the weather. Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness, and loneliness they’re going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It’s hard to be a friend to someone who’s depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest, and best things you will ever do.

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is light from within.

Your calm mind is the ultimate weapon against your challenges. So relax.

Don’t exist. Live. Get out, explore. Thrive. Challenge authority. Challenge yourself. Evolve.

Stress and unhappiness come not from situations, but how you respond to situations.

One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and you didn’t fall apart.

One bad chapter doesn’t mean your story’s over.

I am not a victim. No matter what I have been through, I’m still here. I have a history of victory.

Our reaction to a situation literally has the power to change the situation itself.

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.
