You have no idea how many people there are in the world whose day could be made and their life changed for the better if someone would just look them in the eye, smile, and say, ‘Hello.’

Our brains are wired for connection, but trauma rewires them for protection. That’s why healthy relationships are difficult for wounded people.

Being told you’re appreciated is one of the simplest yet most incredible things you can ever hear.

Be kind to one another. Say a word or two of encouragement. You never know who may need those gentle reminders more than anything today.

If today gets difficult, remember the smell of coffee, the way sunlight bounces off a window, the sound of your favorite person’s laugh, the feeling when a song you love comes on, the color of the sky at dusk, and that we are here to take care of each other.

Please remember to check in on your strong friend, your busy friend, your happy friend, your ‘seems to handle everything well’ friend.

You can be whoever you want to be. Just be honest and kind. And be the kind of person who helps others see their worth and beauty.

I will never be that friend who calls you every day, but I will always be that friend you can rely on when your world collapses.

Wherever you go, leave a heartprint.

You’ll never have to negotiate your way into a heart that wants you there.

Be like an elephant: Remember what matters, look out for your herd, and don’t be afraid to take up space.

Let your weird light shine bright so the other weirdos know where to find you.⠀

The best things in life are free: hugs, smiles, friends, kisses, family, sleep, love, laughter, and good memories.

Time and good friends are two things that get more valuable the older you get.

In life, friendships change, divorces happen, people move on, others die. Money and jobs will come and go. Live long enough and your health and body will change. It goes with the territory of being human. The fact that you are still here gives you an advantage. Don’t look back. Look straight ahead! Decide to use all of your knowledge, skills, experiences and your life lessons from your mistakes, defeats and setbacks, to start over again. Life changes. You may not have the same life as before, but you can still enjoy your life!

Two things you will never have to chase: true friends and true love.

When you have to start compromising yourself or your morals for the people around you, it’s probably time to change the people around you.

Sometimes your circle decreases in size but increases in value.

Life was meant for good friends and great adventures.

Never forget where you’ve been. Never lose sight of where you’re going. And never take for granted the people who travel the journey with you.
