In today’s rush, we all think too much, seek too much, want too much and forget about the joy of just being.

Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.

Why let go of yesterday? Because yesterday has already let go of you.

No one can go back, but everyone can go forward. And tomorrow, when the sun rises, all you have to say to yourself is: I am going to think of this day as the first day of my life.

Don’t believe everything you think. Thoughts are just that—thoughts.

Without giving up hope—that there’s somewhere better to be, that there’s someone better to be—we will never relax with where we are or who we are.

Don’t let the darkness from your past block the light of joy in your present. What happened is done. Stop giving time to things which no longer exist, when there is so much joy to be found here and now.

Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them.

Stay present. Stay conscious. Be the ever-alert guardian of your inner space.

The greatest gift you can give yourself is a little bit of your own attention.

When you change the way you think, you can change the way you feel.

If your forever was ending tomorrow, would this be how you’d want to have spent it? Listen, the truth is, nothing is guaranteed. You know that more than anybody. So don’t be afraid. Be alive.

You don’t get to choose how you are going to die. Or when. You can only decide how you are going to live. Now.

You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.

Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think.

We spend precious hours fearing the inevitable. It would be wise to use that time adoring our families, cherishing our friends and living our lives.

As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of quality, care, and love—even the most simple action.

Nothing ever happened in the past that can prevent you from being present now, and if the past can’t prevent you from being present now, what power does it have?

If you live in fear of the future because of what happened in your past, you’ll end up losing what you have in the present.

You can never be happy if you’re trapped in the past and fearful of the future. Living in the present is the only way to be happy.
