In a society that has you counting money, pounds, calories, and steps, be a rebel and count your blessings instead.

Tell your people you love them. Life is so fragile.

What is the difference between ‘I like you’ and ‘I love you?’ Beautifully answered by the Buddha: ‘When you like a flower, you just pluck it; when you love a flower, you water it daily.’ The one who understands this, understands life.

As you get older you really just want to be surrounded by good people. People who are good for you, good to you, and good for your soul.

I don’t care much for things I can’t take with me after I die. Give me love. Moments. Purpose. Things that’ll settle in the soul.

You should always tell people how important they are to you. Always.

Tell people what you love about them. Less criticism, more compliments.

Being told you’re appreciated is one of the simplest yet most incredible things you can ever hear.

If today gets difficult, remember the smell of coffee, the way sunlight bounces off a window, the sound of your favorite person’s laugh, the feeling when a song you love comes on, the color of the sky at dusk, and that we are here to take care of each other.

This is for everyone who tries. Who tries to learn, tries to grow, tries to respond kindly and wisely, tries to recognize their own issues instead of blaming everyone else. This is for everyone who tries to be their best even when they’re not feeling their best. I see you. I appreciate you. And I hope you know you make the world a better place, just by being you.

I truly appreciate kindness. I appreciate people checking up on me. I appreciate a quick message. I appreciate those who ask if I’m okay. I appreciate every single person in my life who has tried to brighten my days. It’s the little things that matter the most.

You don’t need to travel the world or do big things to live an extraordinary life. Be present. Notice the beauty around you. Be curious. Try the things that interest you. Be brave. Start the things you’ve been putting off. Create something. Learn something. Teach something. And do it all for the love of it.

I used to dislike being sensitive. I thought it made me weak. But take away that single trait, and you take away the very essence of who I am. You take away my conscience, my ability to empathize, my intuition, my creativity, my deep appreciation of the little things, my vivid inner life, my keen awareness of others pain and my passion for it all.

When you see something beautiful in someone, tell them. It may take you a second to say it, but for them, it could last a lifetime.

Breakups hurt, but losing someone who doesn’t respect and appreciate you is actually a gain, not a loss.

Every now and then it’s good to stop climbing and appreciate the view from right where you are.

When you look for the good in others, you discover the good in yourself.

At the end of the day I am thankful that my blessings are bigger than my problems.

Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.

Look around you. Appreciate what you have. Nothing will be the same in a year.
