Have a little faith in your ability to handle whatever’s coming down the road. Believe that you have the strength and resourcefulness required to tackle whatever challenges come your way. And know that you always have the capacity to make the best of anything. Even if you didn’t want it or ask for it, even if seems scary or hard or unfair, you can make something good of any loss or hardship. You can learn from it, grow from it, help others through it, and maybe even thrive because of it. The future is unknown, but you can know this for sure: Whatever’s coming, you got this.

Instead of avoiding your pain, work through it. Instead of withholding your tears, let them flow. Instead of closing your heart, open it. Instead of expressing hate, show love. Instead of judging another, appreciate them. Instead of being uptight and serious, be playful. Instead of fearing the unknown, move into it.

I spend an insane amount of time wondering if I’m doing it right. At some point I just remind myself that I’m doing my best. That is enough.

Do yourself a favor and take mixed signals as a no.

The biggest lesson for me this year has been ‘just keep going.’ Lost everything? Just keep going. Don’t know what you’re doing? Just keep going. $0.88 in the bank? Just keep going. People played you? Just keep going. No obstacle has been able to crush me. I keep going.

The most powerful thing you can do right now is be patient while things are unfolding for you.

‘What if I fall?’ Oh, but darling, what if you fly?

If I waited until I had all my ducks in a row, I’d never get across the street. Sometimes you just have to gather up what you’ve got and make a run for it.

Sometimes all you can do is accept there’s not much you can do. And sometimes all you can control is how well you let go of control.

Sometimes a breakthrough comes after the biggest breakdown of your life. Hang in there.

New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.

It can feel scary to make a big decision knowing that the future is uncertain, but we can’t panic and obsess our way to clarity. Sometimes we simply need to get out of our head and give our heart some space to find the answer.

Don’t be in such a rush to figure everything out. Embrace the unknown and let your life surprise you.

Wake up today knowing that whatever happens, you can handle it.

We are all wounded people dealing with messy emotions in a confusing, uncertain, sometimes scary world. That doesn’t give anyone the right to be mean, thoughtless, or disrespectful. But remembering this makes it a little easier to think, ‘I hope you heal from your pain’ instead of ‘I hope you hurt like you hurt me.’

Don’t be afraid to take an unfamiliar path. Sometimes they’re the ones that take you to the best places.

Be okay with not knowing for sure what might come next, but know that whatever it is, you will be okay.

Let go of the need to control the outcome. Trust the process. Trust your intuition. Trust yourself.

If you live in fear of the future because of what happened in your past, you’ll end up losing what you have in the present.

You can never be happy if you’re trapped in the past and fearful of the future. Living in the present is the only way to be happy.
