We set the standard for how we want to be treated. Our relationships are a reflection of the relationship we have with ourselves.

You will never speak to anyone more than you speak to yourself in your head. Be kind to yourself.

We are all capable of helping and hurting. We are all giving at times and selfish at others. Every last one of us has the potential for darkness and light. So forgive others, forgive yourself, look for light in the world, and shine your own. And never forget that people can grow and change. Never stop believing in the healing power of love and kindness. And most importantly, never stop believing in yourself.

You are more than what you do, produce, or achieve. Don’t believe for a second that your output and your income dictate your worth. They don’t.

Don’t worry if someone does not like you. Most people are struggling to like themselves.

You have this one life. How do you want to spend it? Apologizing? Regretting? Questioning? Hating yourself? Dieting? Running after people who don’t see you? Be brave. Believe in yourself. Do what feels good. Take risks. You have this one life. Make yourself proud.

When I loved myself enough, I began leaving whatever wasn’t healthy. This meant people, jobs, my own beliefs and habits—anything that kept me small. My judgment called it disloyal. Now I see it as self-loving.

Let whatever you do today be enough.

Lighten up on yourself. No one is perfect. Gently accept your humanness.

When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life.

You can’t build joy on a feeling of self-loathing.

The only person who can pull me down is myself, and I’m not going to let myself pull me down anymore.

The truth is we’re all a little bit broken. We must learn to love the broken pieces of ourselves—be gentle and empathetic with ourselves, and others.

Be gentle with yourself. You’re doing the best you can.

How people treat other people is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves.

Focus on loving yourself instead of loving the idea of other people loving you.

Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t. Start loving yourself for everything that you are.

Stop trying to ‘fix’ yourself; you’re not broken! You are perfectly imperfect and powerful beyond measure.

Self-love, self-respect, self-worth: There’s a reason they all start with ‘self.’ You can’t find them in anyone else.

Don’t underestimate your worth by comparing yourself with others.
