Forget your past, forgive yourself, and begin again right now.

Life doesn’t allow for us to go back and fix what we have done wrong in the past, but it does allow for us to live each day better than our last.

In life, friendships change, divorces happen, people move on, others die. Money and jobs will come and go. Live long enough and your health and body will change. It goes with the territory of being human. The fact that you are still here gives you an advantage. Don’t look back. Look straight ahead! Decide to use all of your knowledge, skills, experiences and your life lessons from your mistakes, defeats and setbacks, to start over again. Life changes. You may not have the same life as before, but you can still enjoy your life!

You fall, you rise, you make mistakes, you live, you learn. You’re human, not perfect. You’ve been hurt, but you’re alive. Think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, and to chase the things you love. Sometimes there is sadness in our journey, but there is also lots of beauty. We must keep putting one foot in front of the other even when we hurt, for we will never know what is waiting for us just around the bend.

Never be defined by your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.

Do your best and let the rest go. You can’t be perfect, no matter how hard you try, so give yourself credit for making an effort and try to stop stressing about the outcome.

Life is too short. Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. Laugh when you can. Apologize when you should and let go of what you can. Take chances. Give everything and have no regrets. Life is too short to be unhappy. You have to take the good with the bad. Smile when you’re sad. Love what you got and always remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change and things go wrong, but always remember, life goes on.

Note to self: Beating yourself up for your flaws and mistakes won’t make you perfect, and you don’t have to be. Learn, forgive yourself, and remember: We all struggle; it’s just part of being human.

Give yourself a break. Stop beating yourself up! Everyone makes mistakes, has setbacks and failures. You don’t come with a book on how to get it right all the time. You will fail sometimes, not because you planned to, but simply because you’re human. Failure is a part of creating a great life.

Most relationships fail because we spend too much time pointing out each other’s mistakes and not enough time enjoy each other’s company.

As long as you feel pain, you’re still alive. As long as you make mistakes, you’re still human. And as long as you keep trying, there’s still hope.

When we make mistakes, we cannot turn the clock back and try again. All we can do is use the present well.

Mistakes are part of life. Everyone makes them. Everyone regrets them. But some learn from them and some end up making them again. It’s up to you to decide if you’ll use your mistakes to your advantage.

Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.

When I look back on my life, I see pain, mistakes, and heartache. When I look in the mirror, I see strength, learned lessons, and pride in myself.

Don’t quit because something went wrong. Quit because you tried your hardest and nothing made it better.

You are strong when you know your weaknesses. You are beautiful when you appreciate your flaws. You are wise when you learn from your mistakes.

I owe no explanations for my flaws. I don’t have to justify my mistakes, my past or my insecurities. I am growing and learning.

Don’t stress over past mistakes because there’s nothing you can do to change them. Focus on your present and create your future today.

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
